TikTok users will soon be able to create longer videos to compete with other social media platforms. Through the change, TikTok expects its users to stay on its service instead of flocking to YouTube or Instagram if the 60-second limit isn't enough. Increasing the length of the video will also reduce the need to string together multiple short clips, reducing the feel of juggling between transitions. You will have to wait a long time for this change to take effect; TikTok said that the new feature will be rolling out in the coming weeks.

Facebook is testing a new system that warns users about harmful extremist content. When the system starts up, the affected user will receive a notification with resources to help them understand their threats. The social media platform, which has more than 2.8 billion users worldwide, has been asked to toughen its policies on extremist groups. The feature is still in the experimental stage, but a Facebook spokesperson told NewsHub that the company has partnered with experts to research its implications.
