ChatGPT Can Now Summarize Articles from The Washington Post

The Washington Post has entered into a strategic partnership with OpenAI to enhance the accessibility of its journalism through ChatGPT. This collaboration allows ChatGPT to provide users with summaries, quotes, and links to original Washington Post articles in response to related queries, covering topics like politics, global affairs, business, and technology. The initiative emphasizes clear attribution and direct access to full articles, enabling users to explore subjects more deeply. This partnership is part of a broader trend, as OpenAI has already collaborated with over 20 news publishers, including News Corp, The Associated Press, Axel Springer, Condé Nast, and others. 

This initiative aligns with The Washington Post's ongoing efforts to integrate AI into its services. Previously, the publication launched "Climate Answers," an AI chatbot designed to address climate-related questions using its extensive archive of climate reporting. The chatbot provides users with summaries and links to relevant articles, ensuring information is grounded in verified journalism.
